The reader's first impression of this book was of its bright and uncluttered presentation. The page layouts are bright and clean, with an easy-to-read print size, and text laid out in comfortably managed portions, enabling the reader to relax and digest the content without stress. The illustrations are of an extremely high quality making them very easy to view.

Structure

Chapter 1 gives updates on key anatomical concepts, and recent research findings. There are essential explanations (for those not aware of their meaning) for 'human patterning' 'fascial webbing' and 'tensegrity'.

Chapter 2 describes the fundamental components of Fascial Release. The way that both Chapters 1 and 2 are written makes the concepts for those uninitiated into this way of working easy to comprehend and understand.

Chapter 3 gives a guide to Bodyreading from a different perspective to the usually demonstrated methods.

Chapters 4-9 take you methodically, and in great depth, through the whole body from the feet upward. Each chapter starts with an anatomical look at the area, with easy to view diagrams and easy to read text. This is then followed by a photo assisted Bodyreading assessment and a fantastically detailed step by step guide into how to apply the wide variety of highly affective technical illustrations in this book.

There is also a very useful concluding Appendix which continues in the same high attention to detail as the rest of the book.

Conclusion

This book is a must for all manual therapists, and has something for everyone. Whether you are just starting out on your journey of exploring working with Fascia, or an experienced clinician looking for something outside the traditional therapeutic methods, this book will get you thinking outside the norm and may even provide unexpected answers to some questions you may have not been able to answer before.

This is a book the reviewer will definitely keep as a reference manual. Sincere congratulations to the authors on their work.
