The examination grades of a midterm and final test of 30 educational psychology students who had been hypnotised were compared with those of 2 control groups of 35 and 32 students.

Results

Compared with the control groups, the hypnotised group had a significantly higher mean score on the final examination, although midterm exam differences were not significant. Further research suggestions are outlined.
