Abstract

Comment: I for one would have been astonished if the dosages prescribed in this study, particularly 250 mg vitamin C, would have produced a significant difference in fatal or non-fatal vascular events for individuals already suffering serious coronary artery disease, other arterial diseases or diabetes. In order to treat serious illness such as cancer or heart disease with a vitamin such as vitamin C, dosages would usually have to be in the therapeutic range of possibly 3-10 g.
