Professor Patrick JD Bouic PhD is Head of Immunology at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Stellenbosch and he runs a diagnostic service laboratory within the teaching hospital. In 2003, he formed a biotechnology company based in the faculty: he serves as the Chief Technical Officer of the company which focuses on the rendering of specialized laboratory monitoring for clinical trials being conducted in South Africa.
