Liz Marsh is a graduate geographer from Bristol University who first became ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) in 1993. At the time she was Head of Humanities at a secondary school in Buckinghamshire, bringing up two teenage sons single-handed and caring, long-distance, for a sick, elderly relative. Since taking medical retirement in 1997 she has concentrated on writing, and has had numerous articles and poems published. She is currently working on a novel based on her personal and professional experiences of CFS. One of her sons now works for a pharmaceutical company; the other is a third-year medical student at Bristol University.
