Hector Wells BSc (Hons) DO  Registered Osteopath with 25 years of clinical practice is the Principle & Clinical Lead, Bereavement Practitioner, Cranial Sacral practitioner for Baby Sleep Issues and Colic at The 54 Clinic in Banbury Oxfordshire. On graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1991, Hector opened the Back Pain, Sports Injury and Headache Clinic in Banbury, also providing manual handling training to national and local companies for ten years.  Hector worked for over fifteen years at Oxford Brookes University in the School of Health and Social Welfare, with Laura Humphreys and taught "Principles of Osteopathy on the degree course".  

Hector was the first Osteopath to recognise that the "Dive Reflex" could be used to relax patients more effectively. BGI Insurance recognised Hector's pioneering work and gave Hector "Approved" status for the use of the Dive Reflex in treatment, the first Osteopath to be given this recognition. Approved status allows Hector to train any qualified therapist in the use of the Dive Reflex. Hector was the first Osteopath to develop a method to assess the autonomic nervous system's "Sympathetic Tension State"; this allows the practitioner better insight to difficult clinical presentations. Hector’s clinical interests are focused in paediatric manual therapy, Low back pain and sciatica and Manual Therapy For Mental Well Being.
