Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa has been standing magnificently on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake in one form or another for hundreds of years. Developments on the estate include the opening of the multi-million pound, award-winning spa facilities in 2009 and continual refurbishments of facilities, recently including the upscale Lake View Restaurant. The hotel has just completed an upgrade of eight of its room as part of a £1.1 million investment. Armathwaite Hall was awarded the distinguished title of ‘Best Luxury’ spa in the 2019 Candis Spa Awards and is shortlisted for the Large Hotel of the Year Award in the prestigious 2023 Cumbria Tourism Awards.
