Be Your Own Doctor

As far as the medical profession in the western world is concerned, ‘being your own doctor’ is only allowed in a First Aid situation, when none of ‘the experts’ are available. We would like to take this First-Aid-Idea a little further. There are two obvious aspects to “First Aid” with regards to our health. One is the fact that it is the help we can offer our natural system when it has become distressed. The other is the fact that in order to administer that help the person who experiences the distress will be, for sure, a person who is present at the moment of distress. So, the help offered and the person who needs that help have to come together and work together. And yes, the person requiring help, either yourself or another person, may not always be in the most comfortable position to help themselves but it is of the utmost importance that we recognize that the help you can offer your own system will be vital and will empower you, even though you may not consider it to be ‘the best’. Helping yourself gives you power and creates confidence in life itself. When you are not the person in distress you can assist another person effectively only if you understand how nature works and what it is trying to achieve.

Any healthcare system, and First Aid is an essential part of that, should not be focussing on saving lives but rather on supporting the natural system and natural processes. In diseases, we cannot scientifically assert whether or not our action has saved a life. Whether someone is going to survive an illness or not depends on thousands of influences, not in the least on his or her own mind. In the first place we need to accept the fact that to trust nature as the guiding principle is crucial. We mustn’t lose sight of the fact that nature has created human beings, sustains life and is always in harmony. The latter means that for whatever it is we observe around us, for whatever happens, there is a perfectly good reason, within nature. Nature functions as a perfect energetic interactive game whereby specific rules and concepts are followed at all time. We need to understand that we are not here to fight against nature. We are here to work with it. And it is that which we will try and use throughout this book.

Understanding Nature

The first thing to know, and to never ever forget, is that nature is trying to sustain life in all circumstances. The main task of nature is to keep living creatures alive. It will use any necessary reaction pattern that works the best to maintain life, whatever is happening around the organism. There are two parts to this. Maintaining life involves ensuring that the species survives for as long as it is possible. This may result in allowing the weaker specimens to die early by withdrawing requirements for life from the weaker ones and supplying these to the stronger ones. On the other hand, a particular species will only survive if specific specimens survive. This means that nature supports the survival of a particular individual life in as much as it helps to sustain the survival of the species. To us, these may seem like two opposing goals, and from the lone individual point of view they are, but they fit together quite nicely into the larger framework of the entire evolution of the universe, which contains the natural world on this planet. The bigger picture is the life of the group, and the smaller one is the life of the individual within the group.

Let’s not forget that the natural rules apply to both living organisms, the individual life and the group life. They both come into being at some point in the evolution. They both expand and become successful in growing up and becoming stronger. They both decline in strength after some time and they both disappear at some point in the evolutionary process. During this process the natural rules of engagement are always adhered to.

Whenever we find ourselves in distress it is simply because nature, under the current circumstances, is struggling to maintain its previous balance in life. Whether the distress we as individuals experience is caused by early signs of an illness or by an accident, both are the result of our natural system letting us know that it is struggling. It is nothing more than a call for help from nature. It is asking us to make some changes in the way we live, in the way we are asking our natural system to support us in what we are doing. Diseases and signs of malfunctioning are indications of imbalances in our lives. Accidents happen when we are not taking notice of these signs and our natural system is trying to stop us from continuing to live in the same old manner. More information on the concept and the mechanism of diseases can be found elsewhere on my websites (www.activehealthcare.co.uk  and www.pqliar.net). Suffice to mention here that disease is always a personal process. It cannot be formulated into a general concept for the entire group.

And healing is also always a personal process and cannot be done by following guidelines from a group. There is no need for a general healthcare system. All that is required is for individuals to understand what life is telling them so they can respond to it appropriately. Taking care of your health is your personal responsibility, which means that all you need for you to remain healthy is First Aid. Use it well and no chronic illness will be coming your way.

All of creation comes from a densification process of an energetic field. All matter, including the human body, is energy. A physical manifestation is the result of increased pressure on an energetic field. That is how human beings come into existence. High pressure condenses energy and matter alike. Remember this as any ‘hardening’ of tissues is nothing more than the result of increased pressure on a particular part of the energetic field and on the matter that part of the energetic field creates. This means, all densifications within the body, whether they be the cramping of muscles or the formation of a tumour, are all due to sustained high pressure. And yes, this means that releasing that pressure cures the condition as the energetic field, and consequently the status of the matter that is being created by that field, opens, loosens up, and becomes less compact. Being aware of the importance of pressure on the physical and mental body of an individual is vital in order to be able to support how nature is reacting to these pressures.

Another vital piece of information is the fact that, no matter what the circumstances of life are, the effects experienced within an individual organism are the direct results of the way that organism responds to the outside stimuli. If the organism opens itself up to specific information from the outside world it will be affected by it and the natural system within it will have to respond to the incoming information. If the organism closes itself to specific information from the outside world it is not directly being affected by it and therefore the natural system of the organism does not have to deal with it, does not have to respond to it, does not have to adjust its routine. This explains why not everybody, exposed to similar circumstances, displays the same reaction patterns, becomes ill or has the same emotional response. In the context of this First Aid manuscript, this is an important point. If you allow fear and anxiety to infiltrate your life, your natural system will cramp up, shrink, reduce the flow of energy, out of fear life itself or life as you know it may ‘be taken away’. If, on the other hand, you can flood your system with confidence and trust in nature, the natural processes will not be obstructed in expressing their powers. Natural healing will occur much quicker and more completely when we remove our fear, our worries and especially our belief ‘to know best’. Trying to ‘override’ nature is never a clever idea.

The Concept of this Manual

Without going into details about the various diseases and expressions of diseases we will try and adhere to the basic concepts of nature. We will point out the underlying mechanisms of the presented problem, where appropriate. This is not a new type of medical book. This is simply a manual for a natural way to help yourself, and others, to recover in the best possible way from injury and disease expressions. It remains a first step on the way to healing, nothing more.

Furthermore, we hope that this small introduction to a different way of thinking and a different way of approaching health can inspire you to study a bit more. Instead of focussing on the great variety of disease manifestations, as presented to us by the medical profession who have a need to create more experts on ever smaller parts of life, we may want to concentrate on studying health. What is health and how does it get disturbed? This will bring us to the natural balance of life, of each individual life, and how to maintain or to rectify it. At the same time as being a guide to restore health after an injury or minor expressions of disturbances, this small book also carries the hope you might be encouraged to know more about true health.

The First Aid manuals from the allopathic medical system are full of advice on what non-medically trained people can do ‘to save lives’ in life threatening conditions, such as an acute heart attack, a stroke or an anaphylactic shock. This has two immediate consequences that are very important. Firstly, it diverts attention away from your own personal ‘small’ problems as the great majority of the course is taken up by resuscitation, lifesaving skills, and not by teaching any understanding of how life operates and how we can help ourselves. The idea of ‘first aid’ is used in a completely different way. It is all about ‘saving others’, not ourselves. Their intention is not to teach you how to empower yourself and how to deal with health problems in your own way. It isn’t first aid directed at you! Secondly, it emphasises the dependency on medical personal and equipment. Their first aid is all about how you can support them in their work and their business. It isn’t about helping yourself. It is about helping the medical industry.

This little book is aiming to set you free from the allopathic system through an understanding of how nature works and that we can trust in nature, as well as practical tips to support the natural healing process. This is a first aid book that you can actually use in your own life and that will provide you with information you can pass on to others. This is a first aid book that will entice you to know more, to empower yourself, to free yourself from dependency. Health is a natural, an inborn, balance point that works like a magnet, constantly pulling you back towards it. Health is not something you can buy or get from someone else. It doesn’t require money or status. Health is yours, whatever state it is in, and only you have the power to alter that state. You have the power to make yourself ill or to heal yourself, two opposite sides of the same spectrum, governed by you, your thoughts, your feelings and your actions.

"...There is no need for a general healthcare system."...I fully agree. It may be useful in an emergency but other than that, forget it.
