Richard Z Cheng MD PhD ABAARM, Pioneer in Integrative Orthomolecular Medicine, is a distinguished physician and researcher with over 40 years of medical experience, specializing in integrative, orthomolecular, low-carb, anti-ageing, and functional medicine. He completed his medical training at Shanghai Medical University and pursued advanced education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the American Academy of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine. As a former US Army medical officer and department chief, Dr. Cheng further honed his expertise in medical research and clinical practice.

With offices in Columbia, South Carolina, and Shanghai, Dr. Cheng focuses on addressing chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he gained international recognition for advocating nutritional immunity strategies, particularly emphasizing the role of vitamin C, while cautioning against over-reliance on COVID-19 vaccines. His groundbreaking contributions earned him induction into the Hall of Fame of the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine in 2022. As Editor-in-Chief of the Orthomolecular Medicine News Service  and co-founder of the Low Carb Medicine Alliance of China, Dr Cheng continues to lead efforts in advancing public health and promoting evidence-based, integrative approaches to medicine.
