Positive Health PH Online June Issue 303 is published 5 June. King Charles III delivered important throne speech to open Canada's parliament. In the agonizingly endless Ukraine-Russia war, the Kremlin called Trump 'emotional' after US president said Putin is 'crazy'. The US president posted on Truth Social on Sunday that "something has happened" to Putin, after Russia killed 13 in Ukraine with 367 drones and missiles. "He has gone absolutely crazy," Trump said. "Needlessly killing a lot of people." The Israel-Gaza War appears to have no end in sight – At least 54 Palestinians have been killed - most of them in a school building sheltering displaced families – during Israeli air strikes on Gaza overnight, hospital directors told the BBC. Fahmi Al-Jargawi School in Gaza City was housing hundreds of people from Beit Lahia, currently under intense Israeli military assault. At least 35 were reported to have been killed when the school was hit.
The Sudanese civil war continues – Paramilitary fighters appear to have opened a new phase in Sudan's civil war after being driven from the capital, in a move which some experts have described as a "shock and awe campaign". Just weeks after the army celebrated the recapture of Khartoum, its foe the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched a series of unprecedented drone strikes on Port Sudan in the east of the country.
This is the bleakest world view I can ever remember.
Here are a number of authoritative sites with a non-mainstream take on health news:
Alliance for Natural Health International discuss glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) weight-loss jabs: What we're not being told. In less than five years, GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro have rocketed from niche diabetes treatments to global blockbusters hailed as “miracle weight-loss jabs”. Yet amid the euphoria, questions are growing louder – and with good reason. Are we witnessing another pharma-fuelled bubble, one that downplays real risks, oversells benefits, and ushers in lifelong medicalisation for millions under the banner of obesity management?
Sayer Ji Founder of GreenMedInfo announced “To my community – those of you who’ve stood for truth, health freedom, and human sovereignty, even when the cost was high. Something surreal – and sadly predictable– happened this morning. My interview on the Erased Podcast – a deep, raw, and revealing conversation about the past four years of being deplatformed, shadow banned, and digitally erased – went live on YouTube this morning... and was immediately taken down for "violating community standards." Here it is on Substack.
Dr Mercola in a post entitled How Political Meddling Threatens Your Health and Medical Freedom writes that “Doctors who successfully used early COVID-19 treatments like ivermectin faced severe backlash and censorship from medical and government authorities;
Hospitals repeatedly blocked effective interventions, putting patients at unnecessary risk by ignoring treatments that could have prevented severe illness;”
Mark Carney Your historic visit is a reminder of the bond between Canada and the Crown — one forged over generations, shaped by shared histories, and grounded in common values.
Dr Sircus writes that Dr Vinay Prasad, The New FDA Vaccine Chief Is Against mRNA. Dr. Vinay Prasad’s appointment as the new director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) marks a significant shift in the agency’s approach to vaccine regulation. Dr Prasad, a haematologist-oncologist and professor at the University of California, San Francisco, has been an outspoken critic of several aspects of the U.S. public health response to COVID-19. He has questioned the efficacy of certain pharmaceutical approvals, criticized mask mandates, and expressed skepticism about the accelerated approval of COVID-19 vaccine boosters, especially for younger populations.
