NEEM and Anti-Ageing

When men meet women they look first at their faces, therefore most women want to look very attractive, even erotic with young-looking glowing healthy silky-soft skin with no wrinkles showing. Therefore,  companies create a lot of hype in the media by claiming in their advertising and promotion that their products are pH-balanced and promise the appearance of the skin will be rejuvenated, improved and lines and wrinkles will disappear. But is it really true or a myth?

So when you buy the creams, lotions and other facial beauty products do you really read the labels and understand the listed ingredients and what they represent? Some of them have shown to be carcinogens, cancer-causing, others may be endocrine disrupters, chemicals that affect the hormone-producing organs of the body.

Large corporations in the cosmetic and personal care industry are only interested in profits, so they can please their shareholders, and are not interested in your health! They are promoting and selling an image, not necessarily a safe and effective product. They are hiding controversial harmful ingredients under the label as "trade secrets."

Statistically, women in North America are using daily ten different cosmetics, make-ups and personal care products, not realizing that up to ten thousand synthetic harmful chemical ingredients are used in the products they are purchasing.

Are you aware that the United States of America has one of the least regulated cosmetic industries in the world, if not the very least, isn't it amazing? There is almost zero federal regulation on the cosmetic industry in the United States. A product can go straight from manufacturing to store shelves without any type of approval or mandatory safety testing! More information can be obtained by checking this link:

Many claims are made in the promotion that their products are pH-balanced and reduce and/or eliminate wrinkles and it seems women go for it especially if they are offered by famous brands like L’Oréal, Avon, Estee Lauder, Procter & Gamble, Beiersdorf – just to name a few.

In 1987 a new facial treatment to reduce or eliminate lines and wrinkles was offered to women called botox, a neurotoxin and the name already signals that it is toxic.

So what is Botox?

It is used for aesthetic purposes and is a drug made from botulin. It is the same toxin that causes a life-threatening type of food poisoning called botulism. The injection works by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves. The most common side effects are pain, swelling, or bruises at the injection site, also flu-like symptoms, headaches and upset stomach, which may also cause temporary drooping eyelids. Botox injections block certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract. I heard comments that most movie actors are botoxed!

Ayurvedic medicine and the Indian subcontinent have long been aware of the amazing healing powers of the Neem Tree. The oil is cold-pressed from the kernels of the seeds and an extract is derived from the leaves. Neem is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to help temporarily relieve minor skin irritations such as itching associated with eczema or minor wounds. The tincture and skin cream are Health Canada registered.

Is there a Natural Botanical Herb Alternative for Anti-Ageing?

For thousands of years, humans have sought to fortify their health and cure various ills with herbal remedies. The search for the true panacea, or cure-all, has been undertaken by virtually every civilization. While hundreds of substances have been tried and tested, only one has truly withstood modern science scrutiny...the neem tree, the botanical name 'Azadirachta indica."

Of all the plants that have proven useful throughout the ages, few have offered as much value and versatility as the neem tree. With growing research supporting its healing properties, neem is finally getting the attention it deserves. The neem tree or margosa is the botanical cousin of mahogany and belongs to the family Meliaceae native to India and Myanmar (Burma). Its botanical name is Azadirachta indica which means "the free tree of India" and is part of the oldest most successful botanical-derived medical system in the world with over 5000 years of history - AYURVEDA from India. The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit ayus "life: and veda "science", Ayurveda is "the science of life!" In India, it is called "The Village Pharmacy", sarva roga nivarini or healer of all ailments. In Sanskrit, it is named "Arista" - meaning perfect, complete and imperishable.

Everything from the neem tree is medicinal: bark, cake, flowers, gum, leaves, oil derived from the kernels of the seeds, resin, roots and twigs. The miraculous versatile medicinal neem tree offers better plant, human, animal, and environmental health.

So, it comes as a bit of a surprise when the individual bearing the "most knowledgeable about neem in the world" crown turns out to be a hearty German by the name of Professor Dr Heinrich Schmutterer, world-renowned entomologist, scientist and neem expert, who rediscovered perhaps the most useful tree in the world in regard to the benefits and healing power in his mission in Sudan in 1959. He is also the editor of the book "The Neem Tree" first published in 1995, second edition published in 2002 with 893 pages by the Neem Foundation, Mumbai, India. He worked with fifty academics from around the Globe before publishing the book for the Agricultural industry and it also shows a large number of benefits to humankind!

Get the Best Complexion with Neem

Neem is best known for its anti-ageing properties. Due to its antioxidant properties, neem protects our skin, as the body's largest organ - about 30 square meters, the skin's primary role is to maintain a healthy barrier between you and potential harm from the elements, including frost, sun, rain, bacteria, germs, and stress. The vitamins and fatty acids in neem improve and maintain the elasticity of the skin, and reduce wrinkles and fine lines. A study published in the Journal of Photochemistry & Photobiology found that neem leaf extract derived either from the leaves or bark is highly effective in treating different skin symptoms due to ageing, be it wrinkles, thickening or water loss. Also, neem oil can help decrease skin roughness and the appearance of wrinkles due to its high content of Vitamin E, omega 6, omega 9 fatty acids, palmitic acid and antioxidants. Additionally, neem oil maintains the skin's elasticity and has a deeply moisturizing effect, which helps prevent wrinkles caused by dryness of the skin.

Be aware that your daily cleaning routine may be causing more harm than good to your skin, especially if you are using "chlorinated" hot water when taking a shower or bath which strips the protective layer of the skin and dries it out which can cause the skin to overproduce oil. Neem contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal  properties. By using neem, you provide your body with the tools to fight the outward appearance of ageing. How can you use neem as a tool to combat ageing?

Through neem face masks, washing with neem-infused water, massaging neem oil into your skin, and consuming neem tea tincture or capsules. By keeping your body centred and applying healthy natural products like neem, you can fight the "threats" of ageing on our skin, leaving you feeling confident and refreshed every single day! Make sure that the herbal neem products don't contain any harmful chemical ingredients. So look for natural herbal products that use neem extract and oil and you will be sure to protect your skin as well your health.

The United Nations declared the neem tree as "the tree of the 21st century!" Ancient wisdom for a modern world!

Your Diet for a Healthy Skin is Also Very Important

It is well recognized that certain nutrients are essential for skin health. These include Vitamins A, C, and E. The best way to use these nutrients is when they are consumed as foods rather than supplements. Here are the foods to be used: carrots, raw tomatoes, avocado, blueberries, apple, watermelon, brazil nuts, prunes, pumpkins seeds, grains, lentils, coloured vegetables, the whole cabbage family, and calcium from dairy products. Make sure that you drink enough liquid and exercise. A proper lifestyle and good sleep help the skin, to stay healthy, radiant, soft and smooth. Especially women want to look attractive, and a herbal medicinal neem cream that contains neem extract and neem oil guarantees and can prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Additional neem cream and/or lotion can be used to temporarily relieve minor skin irritation such as itching associated with eczema, psoriasis and minor wounds. It has a mild scent and it should be gluten, dairy and GMO-free without animal testing to have a therapeutic effect.

Conclusion

Of all the plants that have proven useful throughout the ages, few have offered as much value and versatility as the neem tree. With growing research supporting its healing properties, neem is finally getting the attention it deserves!
