Emma Gilmore BCST IMFT BCMA Reg Founded School of Bodywork in 2009 and sold the business in 2023 to pursue her interest in how Trauma is held within the system.  Emma is fascinated by the delicacy yet resilience of the human condition. Emma currently specializes in Fascia Informed Bodywork and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy; her specialism, is in how our whole life story is stored in the physiology of our body. Emma shares her knowledge of how physical and emotional trauma manifests in our physiology causing pain, discomfort and pathologies, as well as the potential for its release through informed bodywork.

She has studied alongside internationally renowned tutors including Franklin Sills, Katherine Ukleja and John Barnes. She continuously updates  her skills, and brings a multi-disciplinary approach to her treatment, keeping up to date with current research. She is particularly interested in the body-mind connection, and loves to witness the innate power of the body to self-heal; her work facilitates the body to do this, in a gentle, safe and profoundly effective way.

Emma has the privilege of sharing her passion for Craniosacral Therapy as part of the expert tutor team alongside Franklyn Sills at the Karuna Institute and is also privileged to share her advanced knowledge of Fascia both nationally and internationally, through her teaching. She is currently developing a 4 day fascia course to enable yoga teachers to understand and use fascial release effectively in their work.  To find out more about the Fascial courses she teaches please take a look at School of Bodywork or to book to come and teach at your venue please contact Emma below. She is a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association and the Association of Physical & Natural Therapists.

A passion for the benefits of bodywork are enthusiastically transmitted through her national and international teaching. She has been invited to judge the National Massage Championships, is a founding member of the Fascia Research Society (FRS) and writes regularly for Positive Health PH Online and Massage World Magazine.
